Uzuegbunam v. Preczewski

A student at a state college sued after campus police would not let him engage in free speech even after reserving space in a designated “free speech zone.” The school backed down and changed its speech policy. The student, Chike Uzuegbunam, now seeks nominal damages to hold the officials accountable for violating his rights. The Supreme Court was asked to consider whether that is enough to keep the case alive, or if it is now moot.
