Morris/Sussex Vicinage Law Day 2021

The Morris/Sussex Vicinage will hold its virtual Law Day celebration on Friday, May 7 at 3
p.m.
The program will focus on this year’s national theme, “Advancing the Rule of Law Now.” New
Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice Jaynee LaVecchia will give the keynote address.
Speakers include Assignment Judge Stuart A. Minkowitz and Morris County Bar Association
President Joseph P. Cadicina.
Morris County Bar Foundation President Steven J. Loewenthal will honor the mock trial team
from West Morris Mendham High School, which placed second in the statewide 2021 Vincent
J. Apruzzese High School Mock Trial Competition.
Law Day is a national event established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 as “a day
of national dedication to the principles of government under law.” Held annually on May 1,
Law Day provides an opportunity to understand how law and the legal process protect liberty,
strive to achieve justice, and contribute to freedom in America.
The virtual event is sponsored by the Morris/Sussex Vicinage, the Morris County Bar
Association, the Morris County Bar Foundation in partnership with the New Jersey State Bar
