Berks County Bar Association Law Day Virtual Celebration

Join us for an engaging discussion about the importance of the rule of law and how principles such as independent courts and judges, the equal enforcement of laws, and passage of laws and regulations in an open and transparent process protect certain liberties and rights for all citizens in the United States.

KEYNOTE GUEST: Alicia Bannon of The Brennan Center for Justice. As managing director of the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program, Ms. Bannon leads the Center’s Fair Courts Project, directing research, advocacy, and litigation to promote a fair judicial system. Ms. Bannon has authored several nationally recognized reports and articles on judicial selection, access to justice, judicial diversity, and government dysfunction, and her writing has been featured in the New York Times, Atlantic, and Time, among other outlets.

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: We will recognize the Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship recipient and congratulate the Berks County Mock Trial Competition Champions and Law Day Multimedia Competition winners.
